What is a wind rose diagram?
A wind rose diagram provides a graphical representation of how wind speed and direction are distributed at a site. Data are plotted on a polar coordinate system, with spokes emanating from the center. Each spoke represents a specific wind direction and the length of the spoke represents the wind speed. The color bands within a spoke show the distribution of wind ranges.
